does what this document states, the program is provided as is,
without warranty or guarantee of any kind, either expressed or

that it will occupy disk space. You use this program at your own
risk.

-=Registering=-
See REGISTER.TXT in this archive.
You can use the unregistered version of BigBro for as long as you want,
but be warned....it will beg.
-=What It Does=-
This program monitors what your Synchronet BBS nodes are doing.
It uses a modification of the XSDK 2.40 to read the NODE.DAB and XTRN.DAT
and places the items in the PM window. It is a 32bit, multi-threaded
OS/2 PM application.
This program also lets you send telegram to users online. An
unlimited number of characters are allowed in the telegram, but
Synchronet has a limit of 64k for the size of a telegram. It
will also interrupt, down, re-run and lock nodes. It uses the flags
provided by Digital Dynamics to do this, therefore users shelled
to doors or other non-Synchronet programs with not be modified
until they return to the BBS.
BigBro now allows sysops to edit users from the PM Desktop.
BigBro also allows you to access the system stats from the PM Desktop.
BigBro is growing into a PM Wait For Callers Utility. It will allow the
SysOp to start a local node and logon to thier BBS. It also gives SysOps
access to the SCFG.EXE program without taking down a node. It will open
session as either FullScreen sessions or Windowed sessions.
-=Getting It To Work=-
Getting BigBro to work is quite easy. If you have been running an
older version of BigBro, just copy the contents of this archive over
the top of the current version you are running and you are ready to to.
If you are a new user of BigBro, just unarchive BigBro into a directory
and run the BBSETUP.EXE program. Fill in the information it asks for
and you are off and running. If you wish to have an icon on the desktop
the setup program will place on for you.
-=BigBro=-
BigBro now will allow the user to change the setup from the PM. It
will edit the paths for the data files and the command lines and
settings for the Local Logon and SCFG.
BigBro now includes a user Editor for Synchronet. The editor is PM
based and will allow the sysop to modify user from the desktop. The
editor is configured and designed from the user editor internal to
Synchronet. Many of the key commands from the internal editor are
the same in BigBro's editor.
If the sysop modifies a user who is online, it is necessary to inform
the node they are on that the data has been changed. This can be
done from the SysOp Function.
-=!!! TroubleShooting !!!=-
Problem: Can't start BigBro
Solution: Re-Run the BBSETUP.EXE and enter the correct data for
the XTRN.DAT
Delete the BIGBRO.INI and re-enter all the
information for the data files
